In the Basement: Party Games You Might Remember

Seven Minutes In Heaven is set at that staple of puberty—the painfully awkward middle or high school party. In the play, the characters play a wide variety of games. Remember these?

SPIN THE BOTTLE
In this classic party game, the recipient of a kiss is determined by the point of a spun bottle.

MAFIA
In this game, a wink can kill, and the unsuspecting “townspeople” must uncover the “mafia” in their midst.

TRUTH OR DARE?
Based around the simple, titular question, this always popular game is rife with opportunities for public embarrassment or private revelations.

SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN
A spin-off of Spin the Bottle, Seven Minutes in Heaven gives the spinner and the recipient of the bottle’s point seven minutes of alone time (usually in a closet) to use as they wish.
