The Huntington Theatre Company is Boston's largest and most popular theatre company. In residence at and supported by Boston University, the Huntington is renowned for presenting seven outstanding productions each season, created by world-class artists and the most promising emerging talent, and reaching an annual audience of over 130,000. In 2004, the Huntington opened the state-of-the-art Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, which includes 370-seat and a 200-seat theatres to support the companys new works activities and to complement the companys 890-seat, Broadway-style main stage, the Boston University Theatre.

Stage and Run Crew

Stage Crew duties include, but are not limited to: furniture moving, operating fly systems, traveler tracks, moving scenery & props; assisting with cleaning, maintaining and repairing the set.  This work requires physical strength and stamina for highly active productions with multiple scene shifts. Prior professional run crew experience preferred.  Some daytime availability as well as evening and weekend availability required.

Overhire Labor

The Huntington Theatre Company is seeking resumes for skilled overhire labor in all areas, particularly Scenic Carpenters, Scenic Painters, Props Artisans, Stitchers, First Hands, Drapers, and general Theatre Technicians to work in its shops and stage areas.  Positions are hourly with no benefits.  Length of employment may range from one day to several weeks. Please send current resume and letter specifying your interest and potential availability.  Compensation is hourly and will vary according to the position.
